"I cannot see it," Othello said, pessimistically. "And I really have to be going now."

Gabrielle nodded and started walking away herself. As she was walking, she pulled out her phone and the piece of paper with Ty's number and entered it into her phone. Once she had, she sent off a text to him.

Hey, it's Gabrielle. Othello gave me your number. Is that okay?

[Miranda_]

Ty replied straight away.

Thats fine i kno u wont tel it 2 ne1.

Gabrielle was a little surprised by this show of faith, but shrugged. Ty, for all she knew and despite everything, might just be genuinely trusting.

He asked me to check on you. Mind if I come over, or do you want to come to mine?

[Miranda_]

Ty was in fact starting to like Gabrielle very much, but was too repressed to tell her so.

Yeh come ovr now its safe. he sent to her.

See you soon as. Gabrielle sent, then entered in another number and put it to her ear. It rang twice before being picked up.

"Hey, Arty, it's me.I might be a while back, is that okay? Do you need me? Okay, alright. Goodnight. I'll make breakfast tomorrow."

She hung up, put her phone away and started the walk to Ty's place. It wasn't that far away, though it did involve going through some rough areas. Normally she wouldn't care, but after the warehouse she was on edge, and by the time she got there, had never been so thankful to see someone's front door.

She knocked three times and waited.

Ty opened the door almost at once, as tho he'd been waiting behind it.

"Holy crap, Ty, were you hiding under the hallway table for me?" Gabrielle said with a small laugh.

[Miranda_]

Ty looked embarrassed. "I don't get many visitors," he said.

Gabrielle deigned to point out the obvious visitor and instead smiled.

"You're excited?"
