Ty put the paper in a safe place. He didn't know whether he would need to call Gabrielle, but it was good to know that there was someone to call in an emergency.

Gabrielle had finished her reports and was taking them to Constantine personally. She'd gotten her shower, and changed into her spare coat and pinned her hair back with a plain black comb.

She sat outside, Constantine's office, folder in hand and eyes closed.

Lupe came by, and stopped. She had reports to work on so couldn't stop for long, but she had been worried about Gabrielle cuz she'd been gone for so long.

"Are you alright?" she asked.

Gabrielle opened one eye.

"Me? Yeah, I'm fine. Just thinking, is all. You?"

[Miranda_]

"Fine, thanks," Lupe replied. "Just dealing with recruitment at the moment; there's a couple of weres who have appealed against being recruited, oh, and a renewed appeal from a wildcard. This one; well, his father sends it in every year, and it always goes thru, so nothing really to get het up about. I still have to file it, tho."

Gabrielle winced.

"Guess Greywatch doesn't get much to do when there's nothing active, huh? And I don't know why they try. It's pretty much compulsory."

[Miranda_]

Lupe shrugged. "It depends on the person, I think. Like with almost everything else, it depends on what contacts you have. This particular wildcard has a father in Greywatch who's quite well known and well thought of. Everyone listens to him."

[Sarah_K_O_M]

Gabrielle made a face.

"He's not Janeseh San Diego, is he?"

Lupe was startled.

"He is, as it happens. How did you guess?"

[Sarah_K_O_M]

"Oh, I've just heard he's well-respected. What do you think of him?"
