James had meant what he said about reserve power, and felt his brother should be made to worry over this; this whole situation could have been avoided.

Charles however had other things on his mind besides the security power grid. One of his worries was his Diclonius son. So far, Alexis had proven to be docile; he never used his vectors against humans and they only generally manifested when he was asleep, when they could be seen outside his cell. Charles wasn't sure about what to do about Alexis in the long term, however.

Soon enough, James was ready to go with Dawn to find the escapees.

[Miranda_]

Dawn put on her sneakers and added a coat.

James did the same, then left with her; he knew she'd never dare to wander off.

[Miranda_]

Dawn didn't. Instead, she stuck close to James as they walked thru the city.

James confidently headed through the city, knowing his charge would sense something when they came close enough.

For a while, there was nothing.

[spirit_queen]

James was starting to get frustrated... until he realized with a jolt that he was exclusively wandering around the poor part of the city with Dawn.

After all, it wasn't like an escaped Diclonius would know about such boundaries. So he lead Dawn through the small business strip that separated the poor from the rich and well-to-do.

Immediately, Dawn stopped. She could definitely sense a Diclonius near, tho as of yet it was too far away for her to exactly pinpoint the other girl's location.
