"Medea isn't here, yet," Nofret said, meaningfully. "And we need to discuss NOON business in private."

Dolph smirked at that. "A girl after my own heart," he said.

At that point, the teacher arrived in the classroom.

"Right," Farron said. "When's she coming again?"

Emily offered him a knowing smile and handed him a little not with a phone number and a winking smiley on it.

[Miranda_]

"Tonight," Nofret replied.

Medea had gone to visit Mordred Redfern.

Dolph scribbled down his cell phone number and gave it to Emily. The trailer park didn't possess a landline.

Emily had given him her cell; she didn't need her dad knowing about Dolph.

She waited until the teacher went over basic homeroom stuff -she couldn't vote for homecoming king and queen because she didn't know anyone here- and the teacher let them go, she turned back to Dolph. "So, whereabouts do you live?"

[Miranda_]

Dolph gave a lazy smile. He knew what most of the humans thought about where he lived, and he didn't care.

"The trailer park next to the forest," he replied. "One of the cheerleaders, her father tried to get us off that land, but he found out that we claimed it by adverse possession decades ago. So it's ours. I live there with my mother and little sister; she goes to the middle school."

Emily quirked a brow. "Mmm. Well, I'm not much better, I guess... just moved into the sh*ttiest duplex in town."

[Miranda_]

"There's other people living in the other trailers, and we're just like one big family. I pity you for having to live in a duplex."

[spirit_queen]

"All I got is my sister; my dad could die for all I care," Emily said with sudden bitterness. "...anyways... what do you say we... get to know each other better after school?"

[Miranda_]

"If you like," Dolph replied. "My little sister Lupe is walking home with some of the other kids from the trailer park, no-one will mess with them so I don't have to accompany them back home."

"I- I have to pick up my little sister first..." Emily said.
