"I stayed up a bit too late last night, that's all," Dolph replied.

[spirit_queen]

"Oh? Do anything fun?" she asked, tossing her curls out of her face.

[Miranda_]

"Not really, just stayed up watching TV," Dolph replied. "How about you?"

[spirit_queen]

"Ever heard of the demon dogs in the woods? I used to not believe in them, but..." Emily related her night in the woods a while back, then how they attacked her parents just last night.

[Miranda_]

"Yeah, I've heard of them," Dolph said, casually. "There's been stories about the demon dogs for centuries. Did they really attack your parents?"

[spirit_queen]

"Yes! I- I couldn't believe it, and they were huge" she whispered.

[Miranda_]

"Well, your parents being in hospital isn't exactly a bad thing, is it now?"

[spirit_queen]

"I feel bad for saying this, but... no, no, it's not," Emily said with a small smile.

[Miranda_]

"So, at least you're free from them for a while."

[spirit_queen]

"Yeah... and Mia. I- I wish I was eighteen already, so Mia didn't have to live like this anymore."
