"Well, most of the nobles live close to court here, making you a little more isolated before," Arthur said.

"Don't I know it. I think I've called about four lords the wrong name so far, simply because I've never met anymore than two in the same day before."

"I'll help you with that, if you like," Arthur said.

[Cheshire1996]

"That would be good," Guine admitted sheepishly.

[spirit_queen]

"Hey, no need to feel ashamed of not knowing," Arthur said. "We can start now, if you like."

[Cheshire1996]

"Really? We could start with the basics and move forwards from there," Guine suggested. "How about relatives? Relatives are probably good to start with, besides I know most of the really, really, really important nobles."

"Er, whose relatives? Yours? The king's? Mine?" Arthur asked, feeling a bit confused.

[Cheshire1996]

"Preferably yours, they're guaranteed to be more interesting than mine," Guine answered.

"My family isn't very big," Arthur said. "That is Lord Ector, my father," he said, pointing to Ector, "and that is Sir Kay, my older - my only- brother," he finished, pointing to Kay. "That's it. No cousins, aunts, uncles, or grandparents t be found. No mother, either. Only one around here with fewer relatives is the king himself," he added with a shrug.

"You're lucky, I've only got my father. Well, technically my sister as well, but she chose to stay. It's a pity, she would have loved it here...all the dances and drunk knights," Guine grinned. There was an underlying tone of resect pin her voice when she spoke of her sister and it was easy to tell she had a fair bit of admiration for her.
