Grinning, Arthur winked and said, "You can interpret that however you like, my lady." He made sure to say it jokingly; things were going well so far, couldn't scare her away too soon.

It was Guinevere's turn to raise an eyebrow, "I will, though I believe I said you could call me Guinevere. Lady is such a stifling word." She was silently glad the conversation had branched away from the subject of friendship, she'd never had very many friends and although she hid it she wasn't very comfortable talking about such things with others.

"I will keep that in mind for the future then," Arthur said.

"Thankyou," Guinevere replied. "What about your preferences? Do you prefer Arthur or something else?"

"Arthur, Art, Hey, You!" Arthur shrugged. "I'm not too picky, just don't call me 'ginger'; I hate that."

"Alright," Guinevere said, looking around the room and catching sight of a group of girls who were giggling and looking in their direction. "I think you have a few admirers who would love to know that," she added lightly, nodding her head towards the group.

"Hmm? Oh, well, what if they're not admiring me but giggling and gossiping because they think we're courting or something like that?" Arthur said, wondering what her reaction would be.

Guinevere's nose crinkled slightly. "Then they'd be wrong, I suppose," she said. It was hard to dislike Arthur, and he was the first person who'd spoken to her as though she was a human being since she'd arrived in Camelot. However Guinevere wasn't the type to openly admit such thoughts and feelings and she found it hard to look at him as more than a friend.

Arthur laughed. "Sorry, you just made this face... it was great..."

"Was it?" Guinevere frowned slightly. However she couldn't keep u the act and broke into laughter as well.
