"Blood...rage...?" Rose said. She obviously didn't know what that was.

[Miranda_]

Liam explained.

"Bloodrage is what happens when a vampire doesn't feed," Liam said. "Eventually, the need for blood is so great that it takes the vampire over, causing them to feed from the nearest living thing, whether that be friend or foe. It happens a lot to vampires who are made against their will; at first, the thought of drinking blood just makes one shudder."

Liam paused for a few moments, then continued. "It happened to me, after I was turned. I spent a long time thinking about death, and about how I wanted to kill myself in one of the back alleys of the place where I lived. I came close to suicide quite a few times, but I was a Catholic back then, and I could not do it. Then I thought about what living as a vampire would entail, and I could not bring myself to drink blood. Eventually, the Bloodrage came over me."

"Doesn't sound pleasant," Rose said, wrinkling he nose.

[Miranda_]

"It's not. For as long as it takes to feed, the vampire becomes as a wild animal."

[spirit_queen]

"Do you remember any of it?" Rose asked.

[Miranda_]

"No. It's basically complete and total memory loss, til you've gotten enough blood to function," Liam replied.

Axel arrived, ready to meet with Star.

[Miranda_]

Star had just finished on the phone. She asked Axel to take a seat and explained to him in a few words about the subway disaster and how they figured that Diego was behind it. Star also told Axel about how Rose's brother had been injured in the subway incident.

"And there's nothing we can do to get near this kid, the Canadian?" Axel asked.

[Miranda_]

"At the moment, no," Star replied. "It would be far too risky, considering what his powers are like."
