"Maybe we ought to leave you in peace," Star said. "It's nearly dinner time, anyway."

"Well, stop by any time you like," Dji said.

"Don't worry, we'll be back to visit next time."

[spirit_queen]

Rose hugged her brother tight, then left with Star.

[Miranda_]

Star promised Rose that they could come back and visit some other time.

Angel knew they needed to test Jenny's abilities... and got an idea; one of their biggest threats was the son of Draco. Draco himself likely couldn't care less about something like a war, but his son would.

She sent the Grand Master a message.

[Miranda_]

The Grand Master agreed to a meeting; after all, it was very likely that Draco's son had put paid to one of his strongest assassins. Arkady was recovering from the mind scrambling, but even so it was a blow that should be answered.

Angel agreed, but for far more sentimental reasoning than the Master's. "It's time we put the new girl to the test," angel said as she seated herself. "I know my cousin's creation has no soul, but Draco's son does."

[Miranda_]

"From what we've found out from various scientists," the Grand Master replied, "Draco's son should have half a soul. This comes from Dark Star's book; of course, some scientists don't believe in souls so they disagree."

Angel snorted. "Those scientists are the ones who stubbornly cling to the most basic idea of evolution. I, like any true scientist, am an agnostic, meaning that until there is definite proof for an afterlife or a lack thereof, I remain neutral. Those other idiots are trying to save face even though my cousin proved the existence of the soul be creating a sentient being without one.

"Considering how much I loathe Dark Star, the fact that I can put aside my own personal feelings toward her in order to accept the fact that her findings are sound should say something about the scientists that not merely question her, but staunchly deny what she uncovered."

Ooc: obviously these feelings aren't entirely my own. XD Angel is a brat, of course, though she is right that scientists are 'supposed' to be neutral. I tend to not get into the matter, as it usually makes nothing but a big mess.
