"I'm not American either," Diego replied. "I'm from Canada. I don't really remember what it was like tho, cuz my family put me in the asylum when I was only five."

[spirit_queen]

"You were in a cage, too," Jenny said, nodding before she rinsed the shampoo from her hair. "That's why your're full of darkness, like me."

[Miranda_]

"I don't care about that," Diego replied. "I embrace it."

[spirit_queen]

"I don't like it; it hurts," Jenny whined. "I want the light, like that boy Jimmy has. He's with me now, and we'll share the light until he goes away, like all the others."

[Miranda_]

"Don't be silly; doing what you did doesn't give you light," Diego replied, scornfully.

"The fact that you took his soul doesn't make any difference. It's still his and will be even when he dies. It's not yours and never will be."

[spirit_queen]

"But we share it," Jenny whined. "I don't want to be alone in the dark!" she wailed before sobbing, not even bothering to finish rinsing out the shampoo.

[Miranda_]

"You don't share it, cuz you stole it. And stealing souls just makes you even more dark," Diego went on.

"Every time you steal someone's soul, you make the darkness worse. I'm just saying. I don't care about killing people, but at least when I kill them they're dead quickly."

[spirit_queen]

This just made Jenny cry more; she'd never had any idea how bad stealing souls was. "I- dd-don't waaaannnaaa be-ee daark!"

[Miranda_]

"It's not a bad thing," Diego said. "When I was inside the asylum, I hated each and every one of the doctors in there. If I'd turned towards the light, I'd have ended up forgiving them or something and co-operating. Instead, I always hated them and fought them. I'm hoping that they'll let me go back there some day and level the place."

[spirit_queen]

Eventually, Jenny calmed down, seemingly soothed by his words. "C-can we be dark together, then? I dunna wanna be alone anymore."
