Vaughn smiled at Kitty. "R- really? I'd ;ove that... I mean, if you're sure you're not too busy or anything..."

"I can do that," Rahne said. "If it IS real, then this doctor guy is probably gonna make the mutants sign something saying they agree to be guinea pigs. I cna't even fathom what it's about if it's fake; the possibilities, unfortunately, are endless..."

[Miranda_]

"I wonder if we could find out?" Jean said. "I don't mean to go to the clinic and sign stuff, but just ask around to find out if that's what this guy wants. It just seems too good to be true. And we should certainly find out right away if this guy's a fake. If there really is a Dr Adler, he'll be lookupable on the internet."

"Definitely. We can do that now-" Rahne was cut short by the rumbling of her stomach. She laughed. "Uh, maybe we can ceck this out after breakfast..."

[Miranda_]

"Yeah, might be a good idea," Jean said. "I bet Professor X and Storm will want to talk to us about this, too."

"It'd be great if we went int to that talk prepared," Rahne said as she rose to go make herself some breakfast.

"Sure thing, I got grounded for three weeks anyway," Kitty shrugged in reply to Vaughn. "So training will give me something interesting to do."

Scott who hadn't said anything up until now spoke, "Even if they talk to us there are millions of other mutants who would be vulnerable to this sort of offer."

Jean nodded sadly. "Some mutants would welcome the chance to be... normal," she said.

"If the general public weren't so anti-mutant we probably wouldn't have to worry about things like mutant cures, that's what irritates me about this whole thing," Scott said.

[Miranda_]

"If it even is a cure, and not just a hoax or trick."

Scott sighed, "or some government plan in order to get mutants to step forward so they can lock them up for 'safety' reasons."
