"True, what's the bet we see some pretty embarrassing dance moves?" Kitty grinned.
"If you, uh, If you weren't planning on going with anyone else, maybe, we could go together then?" Scott eventually managed to ask Jean after several moment of mentally preparing himself. ![]() |

"We could get it all around school," Rogue said. "Laugh at the popular kids."
"I'm looking forward to it already," Jean said, smiling. She was; it had to be a lot better going to the dance with Scott than with Duncan, who barely took any notice of her. ![]() |

Kitty nodded, "after all they always laugh at us, think it's fun to push people in lockers and stuff.
"Should be good," Scott said in agreement "Although I don't know If I'm the greatest dancer". Nevertheless he was glad he wouldn't have to go with one of the giggling girls who always seemed to be following him. ![]() |

*In Class*
Remy LeBeau aka Gambit, slouched into class. He hadn't bothered to show yesterday...but today was different. He felt good. He was young, he was relatively good looking, ah, to heck with it, he was bloody handsome (and he knew it), he was a mutant and he had no alliances with anyone. He was a lone wolf, and he liked it that way. Who gave a stuff what the various mutant groups would offer to him if he joined them. He was going to do what he wanted. He'd learnt from past mistakes that doing other people's dirty work generally didn't work. He wasn't particularly worried about what the teacher might say, after all he could just charm him or her into letting it slip. A handy ability to have. His brown eyes slid around the room and his smirk widened as he caught sight of a spare desk next to Rogue. He'd seen her before, she was one of those X-Men, wasn't she? Not to worry. He took the seat next to her, stretched his arms back and flashed a charming smile and his signature wink at her. ... Kitty's nerves had returned when she'd caught sight of Vaughn in class. The teacher hadn't yet arrived so she sat down on the desk next to him. "Morning," she greeted him. ![]() |
