Laura saw the others coming into the living room and asked what was up. She had asked to be homeschooled, as the young mutant didn't feel that she was ready for the hothouse environment of high school, so didn't know what had happened.

"Wow," Laura replied. "So everyone knows that we're mutants, then."

He nodded. "I- I might just be homeschooled, like you," he said quietly. "I don't think I can h-handle it..."

"Maybe you could ask," Laura replied. "Mr McCoy and Storm are really good teachers and I don't have to bother with idiots. Good thing too, as I'd probably slice up anyone who bothered me."

"After what happened, maybe she'd want to be homeschooled, too," Laura said, matter of factedly. "After all, you don't even know yet if you're going to be allowed back at school. They still have to decide that. While I'm sure that the likes of Louise and Chaos won't care if they keep their studies up, Kitty will."
