Jean gave a sigh. "Better get this over with." She went with Scott to Professor X's office.

As soon as they knocked, Charles called, "Come in."

[Miranda_]

Jean and Scott entered. "Professor, something really bad has happened," Scott said. "Up at the school."

[spirit_queen]

"Please, both of you, sit down and tell me," he said, genuine concern on his face.

[Miranda_]

Haltingly, Jean and Scott told the Professor everything that had happened at school, from the earthquake, to the part when they had to use their powers in order to help the students get out... and eventually, the horrible bit outside when they were sent home.

Charles sighed and ran a hand over his head. "Nothing to be done; you did the right thing, saving those lives. I'm not looking forward to the complications, but nothing to be done..."

[Miranda_]

Jean and Scott looked relieved. "We didn't want to expose ourselves as mutants," explained Scott. "But it was all we could do. And every single member of the team acted the same way, without being told. Of course, the Brotherhood only used their powers to save their own skins."

[spirit_queen]

"No surprises. Well, I think the school is too damaged to be open tomorrow. You kids go find some rest or relaxation, and we'll try to figure this out soon.

[Miranda_]

"If we're going to rest, then I guess that means no training from Wolverine tonight, then?" Scott asked, hopefully.

[spirit_queen]

"That's up to Wolverine," Charles said with a small -but not unsympathetic- smirk.
