"Good idea," Jean replied. "We need to make a good impression at the conference, after all."

"Well, it is highly important; people will be, by default, biased by appearance. As such, I must take the wording very seriously, as I have to work ever harder to win over the audience in this matter than, say, a scientist aesthetically more like the average population..." he said, trying to avoid calling non-mutants 'normal'.

[Miranda_]

"Of course, and it's very important in the current climate," Jean replied. "What with the plague, and the hysteria over it."

[spirit_queen]

"I want to sound intelligent, but not condescending; concerned, but not so agitates as to stir the crowd... I'm sure you get the picture I'm painting, so to speak," Beast said.

Ooc: After reading on Beast a little, he sounds adorable~

Jean nodded. "I'm sure you'll do very well with your speech," she said, warmly.

"Why, thank you, Jean," Beast said, offering her a warm, grateful smile; he did not take compliments for granted, ever.

Jean returned the smile. She really believed that what they were doing was right; it wasn't enough to merely be against the way the plague was being handled and the victimisation of mutants as a result. They had to be seen doing something and speaking out against it.

"Well, I do believe we have arrived," said Beast.

[Miranda_]

Scott landed the Blackbird carefully, and everyone got out. Jean made sure that the camera was set to record the conference before leaving.

Beast took a few calming breaths, then knew it was time to get out and stand before the masses.
