X-men: Evolution RP

Soon, after several minutes of walking, a graveyard appeared in front of the group. Laura and Wolverine stopped instantly; Bishop, too. The gravestones were of mutants who'd died within the confines of the extermination camp. Laura stared with burning eyes at the tombstones; Storm, Cyclops, Beast, Rogue, Vaughn, Kitty, Nightcrawler, Magma... all dead, along with several other stones, each of which marked the final resting place of the X-men and other mutants.

"The legendary X-men," muttered Bishop, as he stared at the gravestones. Only the Sentinals remained unmoved.

"Keep walking," one said.

At that moment, Lily woke and sucked water out of the grass, killing it instantly. She lashed out and tore at the Sentinals with her liquid blade.

[Miranda_]

Taking Lily's attack as a signal, Laura leapt at the nearest Sentinal, claws drawn. Wolverine laid Sunum down, and did likewise, yelling to Bishop to help them.

Sunum sat up and summoned a little energy to short-circuit another one.

[Miranda_]

Bishop responded to Wolverine's yell by firing his gun at the nearest Sentinal.

"We have to kill them all!" Laura shouted. "We can't let any of them escape to sound the alarm!" She sank her claws into the back of a Sentinal which was trying to fly away, tearing out its metal innards.

Lily sliced another one in two. Sunum sucked the power out of one and short-circuited another.

Soon, all the Sentinals had been destroyed. Laura remembered the mission, which had slipped her mind during the battle and the events that had led up to it. They had to go to Forge's lab.

"Well, what direction do we go from here?" Lily asked.

[Miranda_]

Laura thought about it for a few moments, then said, "We'd better go to the right. If we just go back the way we came, we'll meet more Sentinals. Going right, we'll reach the outer wall, and we can just blast thru that or something. We might attract Sentinals, but at least they won't know we're there straight away."

"Good plan," Sunum said. He and Lily began to head out.

In another, friendlier time, they may have been able to date; they clicked well. But as it was, there was no time for such things.
