"How long do you think it'll take?" Scott asked Rouge, "are we almost ready to go?"

[Miranda_]

"Nearly," Rogue replied. "I'm just keying the co-ordinates into the Blackbird, so we'll be able to fly there straight away."

Jean appeared in the doorway. She looked perfectly well, almost radiant. "I heard about what's going on," she said. "I'm coming too."

One of the younger students let Louise and Lance into the mansion and told them to go up to the war room.

Scott gave Jean a smile and a quick hug, "you sure about this?" He asked.

[Miranda_]

"Perfectly sure," Jean replied with a smile. "I'm fine now, I just needed to sleep."

Louise appeared in the doorway with Lance. She was wearing the X-men uniform she'd been given, however she'd prised off the X badges and replaced them with silver skulls.

Kitty didn't meet her eyes, trying to keep her concentration, or at least look like she was keeping her concentration on what was going on.

Lance, of course, sauntered in like he owned the place, arm in arm with Louise.

[Miranda_]

The atmosphere was tense; it was broken by Rogue saying she had finished programming the co-ordinates. It was time to go and everyone headed for the Blackbird.

Vaughn sighed in relief, hoping the mission would distract everyone.

[Miranda_]

Soon, the Blackbird was heading towards the Sentinals' base. The plan, once they were there, was that they'd split into two groups. One group would fight the Sentinals while the second went inside the base to rescue Kelly and Trask and to set the bomb off which would destroy Master Mold.

Lance offered to be among the first group; his power was prime for pure destruction.
