Louise, of course, like the other Brotherhood members, knew nothing about what had happened to Jean, so didn't realise why the X-teens were so depressed. However, she still took a lot of joy in needling them, especially Kitty.

Kitty, although she was over Lance, had maintained her dislike for Louise. So as often as Louise tried to wind Kitty up, she would retaliate with her own snide comments.
Emma had also volunteered to attend school, that way she could get some idea of this 'brotherhood' and their cause that she'd heard spoken about in the mansion. Of course, it was very simple for Emma, she simply had to layer a few things in the teachers and students minds and zoo they were convinced she'd always attended classes with them. However she didn't get rid of her rather eye-catching style of dress, although it wasn't really appropriate school attire.

Louise didn't care; she just stuck close to Lance as much as she could.
Paul had been enrolled in the school; he felt a bit lost on his first day, and didn't really know where anything was.

Rahne made it her job to be the one to show him around. "So, this is the caf. You know, food and stuff... some of its okay, even good. That stereotype about school food? Not entirely true, so long as you know what to get and what to avoid," she said, indicating the doors that lead to the lunch room.

"It isn't to far," Kitty said. "So it should be okay for you to change books and stuff between classes without being late. The good thing is I'm pretty sure you're in the same years level as me, Rahne and Vaughn...so you won't be alone or anything."
