"I like to rely on myself as much as possible, but I'm sure there's room for one more person there," Louise said, with a wicked grin.

Accross the classroom, Kurt was watching the pair, horrified. He could hardly wait til the lesson was over so he could go and tell Scott the bad news.

"Yeah, independence is strength... but, yet, there's always room for a... companion," Lance said, returning her grin.

[Miranda_]

"Or for someone likeminded to work alongside," returned Louise.

[spirit_queen]

"Yeah, yeah... better way of wording it," Lance nodded.

[Miranda_]

Louise yawned. "This lesson is such a drag," she said. "There's got to be better things to do."

[spirit_queen]

"We could always cut it tomorrow," Lance said with a shrug. "I may not be school-smart, but I more than make up for it with street-smarts, which I think is much more important."

[Miranda_]

"Same here, and good plan," Louise said. "We'd have to find someplace to go other than the mall tho, I don't think it'll be fixed yet."

"You mean when that robot came?" Lance whispered.

[Miranda_]

"That's right," Louise replied. "Why, did you see it? It trashed one of my favourite shops which was annoying; I can't afford the clothes in there very often, but I like to go try stuff on sometimes. Now I'll have to wait til they repair the shop before I can go there again."

"Yeah, I was there, and I was thinking about helping you out," Lance replied. "As for the store... you do things the 'honest' way? You know those stores make, like, 200% profit off those things, right?" He raised an eyebrow. "If you want, I can show you how to do things... my way."
