Rogue toyed with her breakfast as she pretended to read a book to avoid the eyes of the others. In reality, she wasn't reading at all, but was thinking of the time when her powers first manifested...
Rogue walked next to a small stream with a boy. She was thirteen, he was a year older. They walked close, holding hands, dodging the few trees that grew by the side of the stream. This place was hauntingly beautiful in the light of the full moon, which reflected off the continually moving water. A few muted animal noises could be heard in the bushes, along with splashes from the stream which were fish leaping. The boy turned to face Rogue and smiled. "The moon sure looks pretty tonight," he said, gazing into her eyes. "Ever been kissed, girl?" Rogue smiled, too. "I'm beginning to think I never will be," she replied. "The way you keep on talking about the moon." The boy leaned towards Rogue, and their lips met. For a while, all was idylic, then, something happened. A glow appeared around the couple, and it seemed as tho the light on the boy's side transferred itself to the girl, then the boy fell down with a slight groan. Rogue gasped, holding her hands to her face. "Cody!" She knelt by him, but did not touch him. Somehow, she knew that she had done this to him... ![]() |

"Cool," Kitty said as she stood up, "follow me."
"Four is a strange number," Scott said, frowning. "If they had an actual cure wouldn't they be eager to show it off on every mutant they could get their hands on?" He looked over at Rogue who looked as though she was in a world of her own. She hadn't said anything for the entire conversation. "Rogue, you alright?" He asked. ![]() |

Scott didn't look convinced at Rogue's answer but he didn't push it. If she needed to tell them something she would in her own time.
"Talk toStorm, and maybe Beast as well, It's pretty likely at least one of them will have come across a Dr Adler or at least heard his name mentioned," Scott suggested, looking back over at Jean. ![]() |

Jean too was concerned about Rogue, but she knew from past experience that there was no pushing Rogue when she didn't want to talk.
"Yeah; that makes sense. At least then we can know if there is such a person before we do anything else," Jean replied. Breakfast was soon over, and the X-teens disper'sed. Jean went with Scott to talk to Storm. ![]() |
