Nashira of course was safe to be excited; it wasn't as tho she'd be chosen. XD

The food appeared on the golden plates; this time, different from the welcome feast, the food was a selection of British dishes.

Collette decided rather than trying one or two she'd try everything. There were times when having a limitless appetite came in handy.

Pyotr found that he wasn't hungry, and just sat there, grabbing nothing.

Across the room, Wendy tried to wave to Nashira. XD

Nashira waved back with a smile.

Michelle waved at Wendy, too. A Hufflepuff girl turned to Collette. "This is so exciting, isn't it?" she said. "I can't wait til they pick the names."

Wendy noticed Michele and waved again for her. She wished that she wasn't stuck at the 'Puff table; sure, she had lots of friends in Hufflepuff, but would it hurt to spend more time with her friends in other Houses? Especially friends in different years...

"It is, it's the first time I've been old enough to put my name in. I hope,hope,hope it gets picked. Did you put your name in?" the French girl asked as she helped herself to more food.

Michelle was thinking the same thing. It was a shame that the houses had to be so segregated all the time, save for certain lessons.

The Hufflepuff girl, Clare, nodded. "I might not get it, but I always say, if you don't enter, then you can't win."

The puddings soon appeared on the plates.

"Exactly," Collette nodded. "And someone has to get picked, why not us?"

Pyotr finally managed to eat a little bit of something sweet, but hardly noticed what it was.

Wendy wished that Muggle cell-phones could work here; texting would at least help some. She wondered if she was friends with anyone smart enough to devise a magical means of communicating in a way similar to texting.
