Caprica was surprised at first, then realized what he'd just said and laughed and laughed, her soprano voice ringing. "Oh, you mean Ty? You're a fool to believe that man is one of mine; he is just a scapegoat for the Ministry."

Daniel was shocked to the back teeth to hear this, as was his collegue. The shock caused a momentary lapse of concentration in maintaining their Shield charm to keep Caprica pinned against the wall.

She laughed harder and froze the two men where they stood, then simple Disapparated; even if they were freed in time, they'd never be able to track her now.

As soon as the freezing charm abated, Daniel found a fireplace to send a message to Cordelia. As he had predicted, she was not happy. At all.

"Let me get this straight," she said to Daniel, grinding her teeth. "You had the Dark Witch pinned against the wall with a shield charm, but then let her go? And to cap it all, the guy that was arrested all those years ago isn't one of the Hounds? The Ministry is not going to like this at all."

Daniel nodded, glumly. "So, what now?"

"Now, we get out of here," Cordelia said. "I need to arrange a different guard for Gringotts."

Though one would assume such an occurrence would be kept a secret, such things always manage to make it to the rumor mill with time...

[Miranda_]

Of course; this was the nature of rumours, particularly those in a magical environment.

The Hounds awaited Caprica's next move.

"We must plan carefully from here on out. Not long ago, I'm sure you know, I myself just avoided capture- yes, it is true," Caprica said, he voice proud and strong, daring any of her Hounds to speak out of turn. "However, I believe I may have an insider at Gringotts..."

[Miranda_]

"Please tell us more, my Lady!" one Hound said in a low voice.

[spirit_queen]

"I believe I know which vault the item we seek is in, and, with the insider's help, I shall soon have access," she said, refusing to give out much more. "For now, however, we must wait; the Ministry expects me to be around, and will be on guard for a while," she finished, whirling toward her faithful Hounds.

"As you wish, my Lady," the Hound replied.
