Wendy grabbed the Floo powder, and soon she was stepping out into the Draven Manor for the first time.

The fireplace where the Floo contact was made was situated in the sitting room; a large room with the huge fireplace in the middle of the right hand wall. Draven was waiting outside the fireplace for Wendy. His grandmother was sitting in her rocking chair in the kitchen, which was the warmest room in the house; the manor was normally cold, even in the summer.

"Whoa, this place is big," Wendy remarked as she skipped right up to Draven.

Draven shrugged. "I'm used to it," he said. "Where do you want to go first?"

"Um... how about a tour?" Wendy suggested.

"If you insist," Draven replied. He first took Wendy into the kitchen, with its big old fashioned cooking range, sink and fireplace. Sitting by the fireplace in a rocking chair, knitting a scarf, was an old woman who's hair was almost pure white. Her eyes were blue, and her skin was a mass of wrinkles.

"This is Grandma," Draven said to Wendy. "Grandma, this is Wendy. She's a friend of mine from school."

"Hullo there, ma'am," Wendy said politely, flashing the elderly woman a nice grin.

The old lady smiled too, and nodded. She said something in a hissing tongue, recognisable as snake language to Draven, who replied in the same. He turned to Wendy.

"It's alright," he said. "Grandma won't tell my parents that you were here."

"Thank you!" Wendy smiled. "Oh! Would you like to see a trick?"

"Sure," Draven replied. "Depends what kind of trick as to whether Grandma would like it or not; better tell me first."
