Cprica watched in silence, then finally ended the curse. "You'll live... for now. Fail me again and you'll end up like the other."

[Miranda_]

"Thank you, my Lady," the woman sobbed. "I will not fail you again!"

[spirit_queen]

"I should think not," she said darkly. She then spun to the others. "At some point, we will try again, but not anytime soon; these fools have seen to that."

[Miranda_]

One of the Hounds ventured to speak, "We will do as you order, Lady."

[spirit_queen]

"Of course you will," she said cooly. "Now let us depart from here; I will call you all when we're to meet again."

[Miranda_]

The Hounds all left the meeting place, apparating out of there.

Ten years later

It was the day after Wendy had gone home, and it was sometime in the morning; she was feeding Ty some cold ham intended for a sandwich. "You know, I don't think they can keep tabs on what I do, or what you do," she told him. "I mean, I've changed myself against mum's rules but the Ministry seemed none the wiser."

Ty changed into his normal form; it was safe to do so, as he and Wendy were alone.

"It doesn't work like that," he said. "Animagus and Metamorphmagus changing is natural shapechanging; you don't require a wand to do either, so the Ministry can't detect it."

[spirit_queen]

"That makes sense," Wendy said with a grin. "I still don't do it because my mama is strict, though," she added. "You want something else to eat?"

[Miranda_]

"No thanks, I'm fine for the moment," Ty replied.

"In a way, it's a good thing that I can still change into a cat without a wand; the Ministry confiscated my wand when I was arrested."
