A little old woman, of all people, was there. She shrieked when she saw them appear out of nowhere, then called, "Police, police! Terrorists! Help, oh, police!" She had an extremel shrill voice and it was obvious from her mannerisms that she was going senile.

[Miranda_]

Ty happened to be nearby; he had gone to Gringotts earlier to draw out some money. He ran towards the screaming, thinking something must have happened.

"Sir, watch yourself! Hooligans, thieves, terrorists!" she shrieked, indicating the Hounds.

[Miranda_]

The Hounds, realising that something had gone terribly wrong, disapparated straight away, just after Ministry officials appeared on the scene.

However, just before disappearing, one of the Hounds quickly confunded the Muggle just to be sure she never could recall any of their faces.

From there it went downhill; the Muggle lady, confused, testified against Ty, and the desperate Ministry barely gave him a trial before finding him guilty.

But before all that, Caprica was waiting for her Hounds. "Well? Did you get it?" came the icy voice.

The woman Hound knelt, trembling before Caprica. "My Lady, please forgive us!" she cried.

"We ran into trouble and had to abandon the attempt."

[spirit_queen]

"Trouble!? You ran into TROUBLE?!" she hollered. "Oh, you poor babies! Couldn't apparate correctly because of a little fear, hmmm?" She then paused dramatically, tapping her chin, just visible beneath her hood. "But I shan't kill you," she said, her voice suddenly going soft. The Hounds would recognize this tone as more dangerous than her yelling, and would likely tremble with fear.

They did, even those who were out of the firing line.

"So, tell me, did any of you do anything to warrant redemption? Did anyone pause to think to cover our tracks?" she asked in her sickly-sweet tone, looking at the three.

[Miranda_]

"My Lady," the woman replied, shivering, "Avior confunded the Mudblood witness so that the Ministry would arrest the wizard that came on to the scene as she screamed."
