"Yup," Wendy said with a firm nod.

"You can go first, then."

"Send me an owl when you get back, so we know you made it," Michelle added.

"I will!" Wendy said. She then used the powder to go home.

[Miranda_]

After Wendy had gone, Daphne and Michelle used the powder for themselves.

Ten years ago


"You will do anything it takes to get to that vault. Remember, the object you are looking for is deceptively plain, made of wood or earthenware, a large bowl of sorts. You will bring it to me, or you will suffer," came the cold, heartless voice from beneath the hood of the dark cloak.

The night was as cold as she was, the world around them cloaked in a choking fog, isolating her and her group from the rest of society. But, then, they were different from the rest of society; each and every person there was about as cold and heartless as their leaders, ready and able to take down anyone or anything standing in their way.

The three Hounds nodded dumbly. They knew what awaited them if they failed to collect the grail from Gringotts.

Caprica's Hounds were a motley group of witches and wizards who l'usted for power and had more than a passing interest in dark magic. They followed Dark Witch Caprica for a reason; they believed she could rule the world, and they wanted to be a part of that.

Now that she'd found a way to do so without compromising the state of her soul, Caprica intended to do more than rule the world; she wanted to do so eternally, without aging and dying.

What the layman referred to as the Holy Grail would help her do that.

This ancient artifact was located in Gringotts, in one of the underground vaults. The vaults were rumoured to be guarded by dragons.

Of course, telling that to Caprica was even more dangerous than the dragons; with the dragons, you only had a 99.9% chance of death, but defying Caprica lead to a 100% chance of death.

The Hounds she'd chosen for the mission had to go, no matter the risks to themselves, or die.

[Miranda_]

The three Hounds, one woman and two men, bowed to Caprica, held hands and apparated. Unfortunately, most likely due to nervousness at failing, their eventual reappearence was a little out. Instead of reappearing outside of Gringotts, they appeared in the Muggle street that was nearby to Diagon Alley.
