Wendy sighed as she got out; as usual, there was no one. Her parents would both be at work, and now they considered her old enough to travel alone and din't send a babysitter.

[Miranda_]

Michelle's mother Daphne wasn't there either; she still had another hour to work at her job in the Magical Menagerie.

Nashira waved goodbye to Wendy as she ran to her parents; her mother hugged her and her father took care of Nashira's trunk and cat carrier.

Michelle walked over to Wendy. "Would you like to stick with me for a while?" she asked. "We could go and get a sundae at the ice cream place, while I wait for Mum to finish work."

"Oh, sure! May parents don't come hom til late, so I've got time to kill," Wendy said.

[Miranda_]

"Thanks, it's so boring waiting by myself," Michelle said, as she dragged her trunk on its trolley towards the pillar where they had to pass thru to get to King's Cross station.

Wendy smiled. "We should do this from now on," Wendy said.

[Miranda_]

"Definitely," Michelle replied. Soon they were thru the barrier and walking towards the exit. There were several Muggles with ordinary luggage in the station, along with other Hogwarts students pulling trunks with owl cages or cat carriers on top.

Wendy, of course, had both owl and cat carrier, though she felt bad for confining "Tibs"."So, what kinds of sundae will you get?"

[Miranda_]

"I usually have a peanut butter fudge sundae," Michelle replied.

"The sundaes you get at this place are awesome; so much more choice than at Muggle ice cream places."

"Oh, really? What is there here, then?" Wendy asked, getting excited.

[Miranda_]

"Every flavour you could think of, and a few others besides," Michelle replied.

They soon reached The Leaky Cauldron, and made their way to the back yard where the entrance to Diagon Alley was. Michelle tapped the correct places in the wall with her wand, and it opened. She then led the way to Florian Fortesque's Icecream Parlour.
