Wendy gasped. "Whaaat? Work on a holiday? That's horrendous!" Her now-pink eyes wide. Today she's chosen a pink theme, and her hair was all pink pouf and frizz.

Pyotr stumbled and almost fell, then looked a bit sick as the staircase moved. He shivered and too a deep breath when it shuddered to a stop. "Oh, my stomach..."

"It's what they're like," Dulce said with a shrug. "They think that if he doesn't work, he's just wasting his time."

The staircase ground to a halt. Faina brushed her hair away from her face. "Well, that was weird," she said. "I wonder if the staircases always move like this, or if it just was cuz we were standing on it?"

"No wonder he's so antisocial," Wendy said.

"I don't know, but I hope it doesn't happen again," Pyotr moaned. He sometimes got motion sickness and, as a result, was terrible on a broomstick.

"Just feel lucky you don't have his parents," Dulce said. "They don't often come out together cuz of Draven's grandmother."

A nearby Gryffindor student explained to Faina, "Yeah, the staircases always move. It's a real pain sometimes if you're hurrying to a lesson and the staircase moves and you're stuck right up the other end of a corridor."

Calotte hadn't had much luck finding her way around, in fact she was completely lost.

One of the portraits on the walls, that of a witch sitting on a chair with a cat on her lap, told Calotte which way to go to get to the entrance. "And don't go down that way," she added, pointing off to the lefts. "Peeves is down there, waiting to throw water bombs at anyone who walks down that passage."

"Ah, yes, I won't, Thank you very much," Calotte waved as she made her way towards the entrance.

"Yeah, really," Wendy said.

"That's terrible! Imagine if you weren't paying attention, say you were mentally preparing yourself for a test, and the thing moved on you!" Pyotr said, eyes wide.

Nashira said, "That's cuz she's mad. They don't want her attacking Muggleborns or anything."

Dulce tried to hush Nashira; she didn't think it fair to tell Wendy all Draven's family matters.

The Gryffindor laughed. "You get used to it after a while; it's only really first years and visitors who still get caught out. Anyway, it's still now so you'd better move before it does; it often moves around on Saturdays."

Wendy co.cked her head to one side like a dog who'd heard a strange noise. "Oh..."

"Yeah..." Pyotr said, shaking his head and dashing up the rest of the stairs. XD
