Mel turned the other way, she had no idea what she was going to do about her shoulder.

*Later*

Liam arrived at Central Park at 10 30 pm, the text had said 11 sharp, Liam wanted to be sure, if he was going to be attacked by some creep he wanted to know at least ten seconds before hand. Leaving things too late would be a mistake. He glanced at his watch and looked around, not seeing any other figures in the near area.

Kim was next to arrive. She always made a point of arriving at appointments early, so she could collect herself first and not be puffing or out of breath by running.

Liam looked up to see a girl approaching, he wondered over slowly.
"Did you send this?" he asked, showing her the message on his phone, "or did you get it too?"

Kim pushed her hair away from her face with a hand. "No, I didn't send that," she replied. "I got one too, and I have a good idea what it's about."

"Oh yeah?" Liam looked at her. "What is is it?"

Kim smiled. "The powers we have, of course. They didn't just come out of nowhere; we were given them by someone. Obviously whoever is going to meet us here today."

"Whoever it is I hope they decide to show up," Laim checked his watch again.

Mel entered central park around the same time, but had taken her time walking towards the fountain. She arrived now and saw two figures were already there. She quinted to see if the blond boy from earlier in the day was one of them.

Draven hadn't yet arrived; he was on his way, tho.

Kim said, "I'm sure whoever it is will come." She studied her nails absently, then looked up. "Oh look, it's someone else who got that message, obviously."

"Hi, guess the mystery man hasn't shown yet?" Mel said as she approached the two people. She naturally assumed they were there for the same reason as her.

Sophie showed up, wondering what this could be all about; she'd experiences a few weird things but, unlike the others, since her power was more obscure, the signs of it weren't as obvious.
