Eventually they arrived back at the point where the other cats were waiting.

Darkclaw described to the waiting cats in a few words the copse that he and Breezetail had found.

"It sounds fine," Goldenstar said.

[Cheshire1996]

"It sounds fine, just for tonight or so," Goldenstar said, after Darkclaw had finished.

[Miranda_]

"We should go there now," Shadowstar said.

[Cheshire1996]

"We need to begin to round up the cats," Goldenstar ordered, looking around.

Poppyfur immediately began to do her superior's bidding.

Coalmask helped Snowpaw to get the cats who were still a little unsteady into the middle of the ranks.

Stonetail quickly got the ShadowClan cats together, and then they were ready to go.

The journey to the copse didn't take very long, but dawn was already over by the time they got there. Sentries were posted, and the other cats were able to finally sleep.

The farm was just visible from the copse, but nothing was stirring. Poppyfur had taken over from a sentry about half an hour ago; all the original sentries had been relieved by other cats so that they too could get some sleep. At first, there was nothing to report, but then, Poppyfur stiffened as a stranger came up to the copse.

The strange cat was black in colour, with four white paws, a white chest and a white tipped tail. She had blue eyes, but the really unusual thing about her was that her fur was overlong, so much that it trailed on the ground. It was however unknotted and shiny; her fur was sleek and she was slightly larger than the average cat.

Stonetail was also up, and immediately hopped up when he spotted the strange cat and raised his hackles just a bit in warning. As Stonetail was a large cat himself, he was hardly phased by the newcomer's size, but definitely noted it.
