"Thoth's got an idea as to that, but we'll have to beat Apep up quite a lot to get him quiet enough for Thoth's plan to work," Set commented, looking quite pleased at the idea.

[Silent_Wolf]

"Sounds delightful." Bastet purred and then made a face as Kawaii licked her face. "Aw, come on, sandpaper-tongue!!"

Melody giggled at the cat. "So... I'll try to get back to you guys son, but it really depends on grandma."

[Miranda_]

"Try and make it sound urgent," Set urged. "Cuz if we leave it too long, Amber's spirit won't survive. It's important that we put her spirit back soon, or else it'll just fade out."

"I know; as far as grandma will be concerned, this sort of thing will be a violation against nature, and she'll think it our duty to fix it," Melody said with a firm nod.

Anubis spoke. "With Marut's support," he said, "Amber's spirit will last a few days more. No more than that, however. A spirit without a body is a delicate being. True, there will be some damage to Amber's body after having Apep inhabit it, but that won't matter if her spirit returns to the body. That is to say, she won't be in any danger of dying."

"I know, but altering this spell- we need to contact the loa through ritual first," Melody said.

"The what?" Tina asked.

"Our spirit-gods. Americans think Vodoun is a sort of Satanism because we use Catholic Saints and other icons in our rituals, but the truth is that it was -and is- easier to channel the loa through those than to make whole new images for them to inhabit."

"What kind of a ritual, and would it take a long time to do?" Set asked.

[Silent_Wolf]

"Shouldn't take too long, in theory." Bastet stood up. "Excuse me, I have some matters to attend to shortly, there's a mugging down the road and I am not going to let that happen nearby." She hissed under her breath and left the house. She wasn't going to attack; just happen to 'rescue' the victim and beat the hell out of the mugger.

Set just shrugged. He didn't see the point in bothering to rescue every single person in the city who got attacked, not when there were far more important things to worry about.
