When they got there, it was just as it was when they'd left it. Horus slumped straight on the sofa, not taking any interest in the prisoners at all.

my helped Set take the prisoners down, Neph offered to make something to eat.

Laila toddled over to Remy, held her hands up and open and closed her chubby fists, saying, "Up!" rather clumsily.

Remy picked Laila up and hugged her.

Anubis just went up to his room. He had no interest in torturing the prisoners; if he was asked, he'd just deal out a quick death.

And that would get no one anywhere, so everyone left him alone.

Laila giggled and hugged Remy back; she was a lot bigger now than she had been when she was first kidnapped. In fact, she looked almost two.

"What does everyone want to eat?" Neph asked.

"Food." Bastet looked pensive for a moment. "... anybody see Thoth?" Toby just looked at the door, worried. He knew fully well that the minute Thoth had felt the connection numb, he'd have been at the door.

Kali was absolutely enchanted by Laila. "My word, she's precious. Reminds me of Krishna when he was very small."

Laila somehow managed to wrangle one of Remy's thumbs into her mouth instead of using her own.

Tina looked over at Toby. "Let's go find him; I'm worried, too."

"Er, I think I'll stick to pizza," Neph said.

Remy carefully took his thumb away from Laila. "Not a good idea," he said.

Set came back up from the basement. "I could help you find Thoth, if you like. If I use my other form, I could track him."

Laila pouted, then turned toward the person she though of as her 'other father', though not nearly so articulately... to Laila, both Remy and Set were her dads, but there was only one mom.

As Laila was still a child, she was being sulky that the taller of her two male parents had taken his thumb away form her and reached emphatically for set, saying, "Up! Up!" The fact that she was already 'up' meant nothing to her yet.

Tina snickered at Laila' antics. "Seems a certain someone doesn't want you to help out... doesn't matter, really, who's free; if Remy keeps a hold of Laila, you can be tracker, but f you take her, Remy can easily become a dog of some sort.

Set looked stubborn. "I'm going. I don't care what my daughter thinks; she's not about to get her own way in everything seeing as she's only a child. Anyway, she's only acting up cuz Remy won't let her suck his thumb. I won't let her either, so there's no point in her trying."

Remy shrugged; he'd fought a lot of cult members and was feeling a bit tired. "I don't mind staying."

Tina chuckled. "Suits me, either way. I can set a small illusion over you, covering your forked tail and curved snout; you'll look like a reddish greyhound, which is almost what you are, anyways."
