"We might; we'll have to cross their hunting grounds at some point," Vicki said. "The bears live on an island, but they swim accross to hunt seals."

"Don't think of them as cuddly, cuz they're not."

"No! I like them because they're so huuuuuuuuuuuuuge! " Kiki said, stretching her arms out wide and almost unbalancing herself.

"Anyway, we'd better set off early next morning, rather than tonight," Vicki said. "That way, you can hire a dog team, and Mum and I can make plans."

Nelle was in a huff, she didn't like being kept out of things however she made an effort to join in the conversation. "Shouldn't we leave earlier rather than later tomorrow, I ain't fancy getting caught up here longer than I have to."

Vicki said, "There's no point in leaving before I can make preparations. I'll need to get some stuff together before I can come with you, in case you forgot. Also, you need to hire a dog team, get food for the dogs, and sort out a place on your boat to put everything. There's lots to do before we can leave."

Lukon glared at Felix. "It would be extremely foolish to leave before we're ready," he said.
