The Blackbirders {Reposted RP}

Ruby went right up to the woman. "Excuse me, are you in charge of this shop?" she asked.

Felix looked cautiously at the horse, he didn't want to be trampled underfoot before he had the chance to eat.

[Miranda_]

The woman smiled and said, "Yes, I am. My name is Emmaline and this is my daughter Vicki. How may I help you?"

Rian hung back. Tho this woman was completely different to Gwen, her daemon reminded him of Francis.

"My companions and I intend to travel far north. We need gear, and possibly a guide, if you know of one." Ruby said.

[Miranda_]

"My husband used to go trading up North before he died," Emmaline replied. "My daughter went with him. Vicki could guide you."

Nelle turned her gaze to the girl, curious. Felix turned into a mouse for no particular reason.

[Miranda_]

Vicki smiled guardedly. "I'm sixteen, you know," she said. "I know I look younger. This is my daemon Lukon," she added, indicating the pony. "I never really knew what he was going to settle as, but this was a nice surprise and I love him to bits."

"A big surprise," Felix offered, eyes wide.

Nelle shoved him, "It's good you like what he settled as, it would be horrible if he stayed as a bad animal," she said matter of a factly.

[Miranda_]

"I always hoped Lukon wouldn't be a bird, cuz I'm scared of heights," Vicki replied.

Lukon gave a little laugh. "This way is better," he said. "We're both small but deadly."

Vicki laughed, too. "It's funny, but I look a lot younger than I am," she said. "I even nearly got taken by the Blackbirders cuz of that. But they let me go when they saw that Lukon didn't change. I wondered about that."

"The blackbirders?" Nelle looked shocked. "What were they like?"

Felix didn't say anything, Lukon still looked rather large to him. This was quite possible because most things are big to a mouse.
