By this, Faolan was completely stumped. He floundered around and looked at Fira for guidance. She rolled her now gorilla eyes.

Nelle remained tight lipped, she realized that she herself had been spying a few minutes so resisted to urge to lash out the newcomer.
Felix saw Fira and to avoid any confusion changed from mouse to meerkat.

"Doesn't matter now," Rian said, while Maris darted around his feet as a polecat.

"I'm going down the river, want to come?"

Foalan wanted to follow, but at the same time felt that the situation was well suited. Eventually Fira sensed this and rounded the corner. Faolan followed, protesting loudly.
"Can WE come?" Fira was in the form of a cat, so it came out in a soft mewl.

Nelle nodded and ignored the new boy who had appeared.

Felix was feeling chuffed about his efforts to give Nelle some new friends and smiled proudly to himself.
