It was time for the fight scheduled for that day; Sagat vs Ryu. Word had spread, and attendance of people watching was higher than it had been for the preliminaries. Blake was in the audience too; he considered it important in his fact finding, and didn't think he'd be in danger standing anonymously amongst the crowd.

The announcer waved his hands for silence. On getting it, he announced that the match had now official started, and stepped back. Ryu immediately loosed a hadoken at Sagat. He felt a fierce joy at the fight finally starting.

Sagat had long awaited this moment, and had trained more or less nonstop. he quickly dodged the hadoken, and then sharged Ryu as if to strike.

Chun-Li closely, knowing this was going to be quite the match to watch.

Ryu immediately launched into a whirlwind kick. He and Sagat were fairly evenly matched as far as skill and strength went, which resulted in the match lasting longer than any other match so far. Nearly two hours later, Ryu was tiring a little, but was still giving the fight all he had. He was injured in places from Sagat's attacks.

Sagat was also a bit beat up, but his determination won out over the pain, and he continued to fight.

Cammy was on the edge of her seat watching the match.

Ryu turned to kick Sagat, but slipped on a patch of blood spilt earlier on.

Rose hadn't been able to make it, as much as she wanted to talk to Ryu she couldn't. She spent the entire time instead thinking about Bison, Vega, Bison's other aquantances and the mess that was the streetfighting tournament.

Sagat took advantage of the fall, and punched Ryu squarely in the face, kicked his side, and began to pummel Ryu without giving him a chance to get up.

Ryu was unable to stand up underneath the onslaught and soon fell to the ground. Cuz he was no longer able to fight, that meant that the match was effectively over.

But Sagat hardly seemed to notice. He continued to viciously beat Ryu, almost as if to kill him. O.o

[Miranda_]

Cammy was horrified. "Why aren't they stopping the match?"

Of course, since Sagat was one of Bison's fighters, the announcer was just turning a blind eye.
