"As it's not like it's their fault their birth parents aren't around," Rika said.

"We can talk to Eltos about it when we get back," Dolph said.

"We shall... but I don't know when his turn watching Mallika ends," Rika said.

"We can ask him while he's watching her," Dolph said. "It won't take long."

It was time for Phel, Taka (and Zeke by default), and Corey to meet up with Andre Lefevre. Taka was a bit nervous; today they signed stuff and went to 'appointments;, which Corey said were likely 'manicures, pedicures, and stuff', and had been too embarrassed to ask him to elaborate or explain what the first to were.

Now, she wished she had.

Phelan was also feeling very nervous, both about the appointments and about how things would go back at camp. But at least he could set his mind at rest as far as the camp went; he had already talking to Eltos and Todd, and knew that the camp would run smoothly while he and Taka were gone. It was just the appointments that really worried him.

Taka took Phel's hand to reassure both herself and him as they met up at the cafe they'd met Andre at before.

He was there already, waiting for them, looking sharp even in a pair of jeans and layered tops. "Right on time," he said, flashing them a smile.

"Yes," Phelan replied. "We're ready for whatever it is you've got planned for us today."
