"I'll do that," Eltos said. "He'll likely come see me afterward, anyways."

"Tins are kind of like rocks, cept they have food inside," Todd belatedly explained, realising that Eltos might not know what he was talking about. "Humans use an opener to get the food out. They last for ages so we should have some, in case we can't get fresh food that day."

"You mean metal, which is mined from the earth and melted down?" Mina asked.

"Food encased in metal... humans are strange," Eltos said.

[Miranda_]

"Yeah, but that's a good idea, cuz we need to have a store just in case."

[spirit_queen]

Eltos nodded. "Makes sense... nonperishable food. Brilliant..."

[Miranda_]

"My old owner used them a lot," Todd said. "There's really nice food that comes out of tins."

[spirit_queen]

"Well, then it's a good idea to get some. I promise to tell Corey to find yo when he's finished with Taka," Eltos said.

[Miranda_]

"Thanks, Eltos," Todd said. "I need to go take a nap right now; otherwise, all those figures are just going to buzz round and round my head. I'll get back on it when I'm less tired."

"Of course, you shouldn't overtax yourself," Eltos said.

"Mina, go help Rika round up the cubs for bed, it's about that time."

"But-" Mina began.

"No buts, just go; it shouldn't take too long as Rika tells them a story or sings to them before bed," Eltos said sternly.

Mina sighed. "Later, Todd." She headed toward the family-size tent the cubs usually used.

Todd headed to his own tent for a well earned rest.
