"A student... um... students are usually children or young adults. They attend centers of learning with their peers and study things... young children learn reading, writing, and arithmatic, teens and young adults study higher maths and things more specific to their chosen career. The cashier likely though we were students using the posters to complete some sort of project that a teacher assigned us," Corey said after a few seconds' contemplation.

"Ah, right," Dolph replied. "Guess we were able to pass successfully as human, in that case."

"Yep. Which, in this case was a good thing," Corey said.

"It'll make things easier too, when we go out with the signs," Dolph said. "Of course, I think it was easier to pass as a human when I have the crutches."

"Yeah; you're allowed to lumber a bit when you're injured," Corey said.

"Not having them when I was obviously lame probably made a few people stare," Dolph said. "If all humans have them when they hurt their legs, it looks weird to see someone without crutches."

"Yes. And now you have them, so, if you need to move about unconspicuously, people won't stare and will even help you if need be." Corey said.

"That would be good. It makes me feel a lot better about not attacking humans, if they're nice like that cashier was."

"There are some very sweet humans, some who are gruff but kind... the list goes on. Anyways, they're all raised since birth to believe our kind are nothing more than fairly clever animals, and make perfect pets. Some fo them are vicious and supress us with a will, and will even go so far as to imprison or kill any humans who dare take our side, but I'm sure that most humans are merely ignorant." Corey said.

"We might have to try and get some pets on our side, too," Dolph replied. "I don't think they'd actually leave and join us, but they might be able to tell us what their humans are talking about. It seems silly for us to join with the renegades and then decide to leave out the pets. They're canines, too."
