"Alright," Corey said. "When copying, take all the time you need; the neater, the better. We are trying to convince the humans that we're more intelligent than they give credit."
"I'll practice on a spare piece of paper first before I put it on the posters," Dolph said. "I know I should learn properly, but there isn't time for that right now. This is more important."
It almost was... but for one cent. Corey, luckily enough, had picked one up on the way to the store. He thanks all his lucky stars as he gave it tot he cashier.
Dolph watched the transaction; it seemed to be going well. The cashier took the money and handed the bags of craft material to Dolph and Corey. Dolph felt he could manage two bags, especially with the crutches to help his walking. The cashier seemed to think that he and Corey were students.
Corey smiled at the cashier and told her to have a good day, then left with Dolph. He held the door open for Dolph, and, when they were safely outside, he said, "I tihnk that went well."
