Phelan had seen the whole thing and just shrugged. There was no point in intervening; Corey had to learn to fight his own battles and altho Todd was a nuisance at times, at least he knew that.

Taka hadn't seen anything; she had gone back to Antos' tent to pick up little Zeke.

[Miranda_]

Antos had already fed; Eltos had brought her some food, and she was just finishing it now. She waited to feed her cub til Taka had collected Zeke.

Zeke was whimpering, for he was quite hungry himself. Taka took him back to her own tent and fed him.

Antos fed Mallika once Zeke had been collected. She smiled down on her daughter; she felt completely content, now she finally had Eltos as her soulmate and a beautiful cub with him that they both loved to bits.

Eltos often came in and played with Mallika, but he had to spend the majority of his time helping out in camp; tohugh the renegades dind't share their system, there were still penty of vigilantes in this camp, and he was still their leader. He deferred ot Phel as the unofficial leader of the renegades.

Todd was nervous around Eltos, tho he tried not to show it and put on a brave front when around him.

Eltos didnt know whether or not he found Todd annoying or amusing; it was an odd mix of both. Today, though, he was curious about the newcomer, and was looking for Phel to get an explanation.

Phelan was giving the cubs their dinner from the food he and Taka had collected.
