"I don't see what good that will do," Phelan said. "One rabbit hole isn't going to feed our entire group, and we won't be able to keep it secret forever. She'd better not think that just cuz she's told you about this, that she can stay. She doesn't belong here, she should just go back to her precious pack."

Takaia, meanwhile, went to the back of the tent and crawled out, snifing at the air; she smelled something... waity! She knew that smell! Those were cubs! She smiled, and decided she'd like to play with them.

Phelan glared at her. "Better than being all happy clappy rainbows like that idiot vigilante is and you're becoming. You know d@mn well that if it got anywhere near that stage, that I'd give the cubs up to the humans. And don't treat me like an idiot or I'll tear your throat out."
Phelan didn't mean that as such, cuz Sinopa was his friend, but he was insulted by her insinuating that he'd be so stupid to make it obvious where he was going.
