Ghost stopped wondering aloud.

"But yeah, I've figured the main difficulty is they'll find it difficult to kill people. It's understandable, but I've figured out one or two ways to desensitise them to killing" He ranted.
"Also, they need to learn the basics of close combat. Guns are too risky; a soldier will hit them easily and unlike me, that'll actually kill them. So they need to get up close and personal and kill them before they have a chance to use their weapons..."

Ghost affixed the top of his head back on, and continued explaining to Mephiles that he planned to teach the teens basic knife fighting and blunt weapon dueling, how to evade quickly and nimbly and some of the simplest black magic he knew. Being that the teens wouldn't have the energy resources to master anything powerful without long and complicated rituals.

"That'll do, fine." Mephiles said. "and we have enough far-range powered kids to handle gunmen."

"But the Military may develop technology to limit powers at a distance in the future. And they might have mutants of their own. Shadowfire, they might even have figured out how to mimic our powers. I'll tell you this; if they find out how to make an artificial Iblis, I'm moving to Jupiter"

"Disabling powers from afar simply isn't possible; if it was, I would have done it." Mephiles said. "The government i too tied up by crap like being humane to recreate someone like Iblis; it would reauire a human to mutate into a supernatural to begin with, and they won't resort to that until it's too late." He paused. "Trust me, Ghost, I've been working toward this for years; have you ever known me to proceed without caution, a back-up plan, or making sure I had enough power for a time-distortion?"

"No I haven't. Just make sure you don't get too sure of your success, or it could all blow up in our faces, and then we'll never get them carved into Mount Rushmore"

Ghost used a pulse of purple smokey-energy stuff to knit the cells of the top half of his head and the lower half back together. Now it looked like he'd never taken it off.

"So, when do I get to teach our little army of fruitcake teenagers?"

Iblis entered at that moment. He was sure something was up, and was annoyed at not having been told.

"About time you arrived" Ghost told Iblis.
"You've missed the fun. Finitevus took over my nervous system and had an argument with Mephiles. It was all fun and games until I blew his d*mn chip up"

[Miranda_]

Iblis shrugged. "I could have just burned it if I'd known about it. He'd better not try and put a chip in me, or I'll fry him."

"You'd fry it subconsciously as he tried to put it in." Mephiles said dryly.

"And fry him as well, so both problems would be solved."
