"I'll be back in five minutes," came Mephiles' cold response.

"Uh-huh. What's with the voice? Did someone beat you at cards again?"

"I do not gamble, Ghost." Mephiles said. He then hung up ad began to head back to the base.

Ghost laughed to himself. He was wondering exactly what had happened to put Mephy's knickers in such a twist.
Then the penny dropped; it must have been that he'd called him Mephy.

Mephiles soon returned to the base, crossly wondering what in hell Ghost had gotten himself into.

Ghost was waiting patiently in Mephiles' office.

Mephiles went straight there and saw Ghost. "Ghost, what in hell's name did you do this time?"

"I burned down the library of Congress" He replied cheerily.
"But don't bother turning back time to cover it up. I've checked every TV shop I found on the way back here. Someone's already covered it up. If only I knew who"

"Alright, tell me the full story." Mephiles said.

Without hesitation, Ghost recounted the entire tale of how he'd gone to the library, encountered Scourge and Rosy, been beaten to a pulp, mostly by Rosy, before she ran off, then grabbing the files and making off before the Library was fully ablaze.
