"Who, Tails? Naw, never!" Sonic said before disappearing in a blur.

Shadow growled again; he'd meant Metal Sonic, of course. Trust the faker to deliberately misunderstand him. He then went to go and see how Julie and Maria were doing.

Clare was curious at why the Metal Sonic robot was on the island and went to find out why from Tails.

Tails was carefully working, and was at the point where he was considering wiping the memory chip so that the robot would forget his trauma, or to try to find a way to work through it.

[Miranda_]

Clare brought Tails over some lemonade, and sat down without speaking to him as she didn't want to interrupt him.

"Why, thank you," Tails said, beaming.

[Miranda_]

"I saw you were working hard," Clare said. "So I thought you could do with a cold drink. Just what are you doing with this robot? Isn't it one of Eggman's?"

Tails quickly explained Shadow's plan and what was wrong with this robot.

[Miranda_]

"I see," Clare replied. "It's a good idea of Shadow's cuz after all, any one of of us who goes down there to fight Mephiles is in danger the whole time. If we could get these robots up and running and on our side, it would be better for us. Tho it might take a bit of fixing to get this one working, after what happened."

"Right now I'm contemplating wiping his memory chip; if he forgets what he was told, he wouldn't shut down upon booting up," Tails said.

[Miranda_]

"Might be best," Clare replied. "And you'll have to edit his original software so the moment he comes online, he doesn't immediately go to find Sonic to kill him."
