Sonic X - Chaos Control

Angelica looked voer at Manic, smiled, and mouthed 'I told you so,' then activated the ship. Since it had been not so much as glanced at since Eggman had left, the thing shuddered before lifting into the air, startling many passengers and Angelica as well.

Iblis had been idling in the control room; he however didn't notice the craft had launched til it was well away. Angrily and pointlessly hitting the controls, he stalked off to find Mephiles.

Manic nodded, feeling slightly happier. He still worried about what his siblings might think, tho.

Back at the city, the battle had turned in favour of the group from Angel Island. Silver used his power to throw objects at the attackers, whereas Knuckles just hit any who came near him.

Mephiles was at the east end, though he was currently leaving it, knowing the mini quake had been a distraction of some sort but not yet knowing what for... perhaps the green hedgehog wished to escape? But surely he knew that Ashura could recover him in mere minutes...

Ashura spied the craft leaving way before Iblis did. He knew what it was; it was one of Eggman's, and it didn't have a great deal of fuel in it. He raced after it to intercept it, hoping to board it.

Angelica saw something otu of the corner of her eye. When she looked down and saw a green blur keeping pace with the craft, she gasped; Ashura was following them! She poked Manic and pointed wordlessly.

Manic was horrified. There was no way that they could hope to outpace Ashura; he was just as fast as Sonic was and was going to catch them up easily. There was a green blur, then a thump as Ashura leapt on top of the craft.

The flying craft was going up in the air, towards Angel Island. Manic couldn't see what to do. If he started a quake, it could hurt the others in the craft. Before he could think about what to do, there was another thump on the top of the craft. A voice shouted, "Chaos Control!" and after that, nothing. Manic recognised the voice; it was Shadow's.

Angelica, eyes wide, looked over at Manic; she was sure Shadow had likely done soemthing to save them, but what? Hopefully nothignt hat would put his own self in danger...

[Miranda_]

Manic checked the mirror; the roof was clear. "That was Shadow," he said. "He must have been watching from the island; we're nearly there."

On the ground, Ashura struggled free from Shadow's grasp. He glared at the black hedgehog. "This is nothing to do with you," he snarled.

Shadow stood his ground. "Another faker," he replied, rolling his eyes. "As if I didn't already have enough fakers to deal with."

Ashura gave Shadow another glare of hate, then ran off. Shadow used Chaos Control to get himself back to the island. He hadn't been able to join in on the fight; someone had to stay with the egg, of course and he didn't grudge Julie a chance to join in with the fight.

"Look! There it is!" Angelica said as the island came into sight.

They had no problem in landing on the island; the shield let them all in, as everyone aboard the craft was on the good side.

Clare came running up as the craft landed.
