"Yes, it was." Blaze said. "But we can't just hide out here forever."

Julie eventually gave up trying to figure out what was wrong and went to see Knuckles. Maybe he'd know; when they were kids, she always asked him about things.

"No, but we need to find out what's going on before we decide what to do," Silver said. "Maybe we can send out spies, or something."

Knuckles had just finished organising everyone into camps around the plinth.

Of course, when Sonic twigged that Julie was pregnant, he would end up teasing shadow endlessly about knocking her up.

And Julie would knock Sonic up into the air and off his ass.

"Um, Knux?" Julie wrung her hands a little bit. "I uh, I have a question or two. Or more."

"But who would want to spy on them?" Blaze said.

Sonic would want to spy on the twins, but he'd played an instrumental part in their defeat last time, and his reputation on Mobius was such that they wouldn't trust him at all, and probably just kill him on the spot.

[Miranda_]

"Sure," Knuckles replied to Julie. "I can guess what this is about."

Silver said, "Anyone who wanted to know what was going on would want to spy."

"So long as it's not Sonic. He means well, but he'd likely reveal himself." Blaze said.

[Miranda_]

"And then Iblis and Mephiles would kill him."
