Sonic X - Chaos Control

Charlie swore again, then quickly swam to the other side of the pond and hopped the fence on the other side. He ran then, adrenaline making him go much faster than he ever had before. Fortunately for him, this side of the pond lead back to the city streets.

[Miranda_]

Even more fortunately for Charlie, Silver was still slow. XD

Silver howled in fury as he saw his victim escaping. He ran off in another direction.

Charlie didn't stop until he was by the streets once more, then he gasped for breath. "Good, God! was that who I think it was?"

[Miranda_]

By now, the police had gotten wind of this new development and were very worried. They were also annoyed at the newspapers for encouraging people to seek out the beast when it was obviously dangerous, and had actually injured people.

One policeman had had to run from it himself. O.o

[Miranda_]

Silver had caught the policeman's jacket in his teeth; only the fact that the jacket had torn off had saved the policeman from certain death. O.o

Said policemen was grateful. O_o

Charlie got to his car, went home and changed into dry clothes, then headed for a certain house in a derelict neighborhood.

[Miranda_]

Knuckles opened the door when Charlie arrived. He was surprised to see him.

[spirit_queen]

"Mind if I come in?" Charlie asked.

[Miranda_]

"Uh, sure," Knuckles said, standing aside so that Charlie could come in.
