"The best little guys you could ever ask for!" Cream said, seriously. "Right, Tails?"

"I don't know. I was in a water fountain or something."

"Something I did? Try again, Mister Tough Guy. I woke up here just like you did - except when I woke up, my hands weren't right near anyone's chest." Rouge shrugged, with a satisfied grin, "If anyone here did anything, it would have been you. I was trapped under you, remember? You're not the sharpest, are you?"

Tails giggled nervously. "Um, sure."

"You kids got nowhere to go, do you?" The man asked.

"Uh, nope." Tails said.

[Miranda_]

"Don't you try and pin this one on me," Knuckles shouted at Rouge, infuriated by what she was saying. "I was trying to stop Eggman; you on the other hand, were probably just there to steal stuff. And I wasn't trying to feel you up; why would I do that? You're batty!"

A crowd had gathered by now, watching with interest. A couple of policemen who were nearby saw the crowd and started walking towards it, wondering what was going on.

"We...don't know where to go; we're lost, in a strange place. Are you going to take us somewhere?" Cream asked, suddenly frantic. "Please don't take us anywhere bad!"

Rouge looked like she wanted to punch him in the skull, but before she could manage to do that, she noticed that they weren't the only ones there. Thinking as quickly as she could, she grabbed Knuckles' hand and pulled them into a small collection of trees before taking flight, carrying Knuckles into the air with her. "Look what you've done, we've got our own peanut gallery. Can't you do anything right?" Before he could say anything in return to that, she swiftly added, "And I hope you realize that I could drop you into that swarm of humans if you were to say anything I would dislike."

She dropped down onto a nearby apartment building and took a couple deep breaths, for lugging around Knuckles was no easy task when she was already considerably tired.

"Woah, woah, woah, kid!" The man said. "I won't hurt ya, I promise."

"Um, I'm Tails, and she's Cream. what's your name?" Tails asked.

"I'm Charlie. Charlie Reynolds." The man said.

Knuckles glared at Rouge. "It was hardly my fault in the first place. I didn't do anything to get us dropped here. I was trying to get back the Master Emerald that Eggman stole..."

His voice trailed away as it suddenly hit him that the Master Emerald was missing. "Where is it?! I don't even know if it came with us to this world. Eggman could still have it for all I know!" He shouted hysterically. "And how am I supposed to get back and find it when we're stuck here?!"

"Oh, brother." Rouge rolled her eyes. She needed to shut him up, and the first way she could think of doing so was by giving him a big ol' kiss on the lips.
