Tails came down, humming to himself happily and waved at Mel. "Good morning."

On one hand, Mel thought the fox was somewhat rude, interrupting her indulge into Shadow's mind. However, on the other hand, she was glad for the company and smiled, offering her well-known stash of pastries to him. She knew he'd worked hard on the gun and, although it was much later, felt as if he should recieve some type of compensation for it.

Knuckles was also around. He was starting to get slightly annoyed with the way that Rouge wanted to have all of the Emeralds herself. What difference did it make if Silver kept one, anyway?

Tails gratefully took a pastry and thanks Mel, then waved to Knuckles.

Rouge walked downstairs and sat on the couch, once again watching the news.

She nodded, then settled back against the wall. Life was so much simpler this way, and she - although she wouldn't admit it - was becoming addicted and dependent on Shadow's thoughts and feelings, almost as if she was him, and was beginning to be able to predict what his response would be to most scenarios.

Knuckles was watching the news, too. He wished another Emerald could be found, so there'd be something to do. It hadn't occurred to him at all that one of the Emeralds they already had could be used to find the rest.

Tails tapped Knux's shoulder lightly.

Knuckles turned. "What is it, Tails?" he said.

Shadow was vaguely aware of Mel, but said nothing against it. However, after a while he fell into a dreamless asleep, which bored his friend.
She frowned and walked over to the room where the TV was, planning to eavesdrop on someone else. XD
